Dear HelpDesk,

Thank you for your response. We were thinking of getting married in May 2007 in America, on a tourist visa  for my fiancée, as suggested by a friend, then come back to her home country. After that, she would like to apply for a K-3 visa.

Would that be possible? If not, on which visa can we get married in May 2007?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Family Green Card Service,

My fiancé is a U.S. citizen, My fiancé and I are planning to get married before his 2 year Doctor residency is over. Since I can't do it on a tourist visa, it means that we can't get married in USA, if it's before the completion on the 2 year residency.

So, should we do it in my country or another country? Also, does your company take care of K1 and K3 as well? If so, how much?

Thank you very much for your time.

Dear Sir,

Sorry about questions again, but thank you for your help and the great Do-It-Yourself Package.

On the G-325A form, in the upper right-hand corner it asks for a File Number. Would this be the file number on my birth certificate? How about my wife, who is not a citizen.

I'm sure her birth certificate has a file number in Russia, but would it work for this form. And one more question, would my wife's alien registration number be on her passport or student visa? Where could we find that?

Thanks a lot.

Dear Family Green Card Service,

I'm from Turkey and my fiancee is American. I am currently awaiting my waiver for J1 visa 2-year restriction. Once I get the waiver, my fiancee and I would like to go ahead and get married. We were interested in the K3 visa, but would of course consider the K1 visa.

Would you please clarify all that for me? May I or may I not get married in the United States then apply for the K3? If I may, on which visa is it possible? Thank you very much for your time and attention.

Best Regards.

Hello Sir,

I ordered your Complete Do-It-Yourself Package of Green Card Application for U.S. Citizen's spouse.

On the I-130 form, part of question 14 asks the date my wife's authorized stay here will expire. The I-94 form she got the last time she entered the U.S. doesn't seem to have a date for that, though as far as I can tell, the scribbles on the authorizing stamp say Class; F1, Until; D/S.

Is there a certain amount of time that the I-94 is good for, or should we just put the general expiration date that's on her student visa?

Thanks so much for helping us out with these questions. I really want to do this all right the first time.

Hello HelpDesk,

I have been referred to your website by a friend who was successful in getting I-130 approved by using your DIY package for U.S. permanent \resident's spouse.

I would like to pursue I-485 approach for my GC processing based on family-sponsored application, and I am planning to buy your DIY kit. I would like to know your opinion on my case for I-485, after reviewing my attached detailed description of my current situation.

Thank you very much for your time and reply.

***** Email from Sen on 9/13/2006

Sir,

Really appreciate your help and the package. I ordered your Complete Do-It-Yourself Package of Green Card Application for U.S. Citizen's Brother or Sister

What is the File Number they're asking for in the upper, right-hand box of form G-325A? I have a file number on my brother's birth certificate, is it that? If so, what would I put for my brother, who has a foreign birth certificate?

Thank you very much!

Sir:

I asked a lawyer if we could get married with my fiancée in the U.S., then she can apply for the K3 visa. The lawyer said my fiancée could do that on a tourist visa.

My fiancée asked the same question to the American Embassy in her country and a representative said it's illegal to get married in the States on a tourist visa. I'm still confused because both of them sounded like they may not knew what they were talking about. What is your opinion?

Thank you very much for your kind help.  I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Help Desk:

I purchased your "Do It Yourself package of U.S. Citizen's Spouse" kit last month, and already applied to VSC. Wish me luck!

How can I get the 2 year residency requirements waived for a J-1 visa holder getting married to a US Citizen?

Thank you.

Dear customer service representative,

Your web site about family immigration is very attractive, and I am eager to order the a Complete Do-It-Yourself Package.

But my question is if a person comes as a tourist and marries a US Citizen and can't prove that they did not have the intent to marry when they entered, can they be denied Adjustment of Status?

Your reply and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Help Desk:

I plan on getting married soon to a US citizen. I overstayed my visa. I have a social security number, and an ID. I am strictly marrying him for love and not to go around immigration laws.

I have committed a crime of a misdemeanor, and have been arrested for it and finger printed. My question is, can an illegal alien who entered legally, overstayed her visa, and has committed a crime that has been dismissed, marry an American citizen and get her green card without any problems arising?

Thank your help for my question.

***** Email from Juyal on 6/11/2006

Hello Sir,

Thank you for the service you provide. Your web site has always been a help to me. I have a question about my stepson:

I'm a lawful permanent resident and the stepparent of my wife's child. What documents I must prepare for the immigration petition for this child?

Thank You, with Best Regards.

Dear Family Green Card:

I am a U.S. citizen and filing a Form I-130, "Petition for Alien Relative" according to your DIY package, on behalf of my son. My son will turn 21. In order to make him eligible to be an immediate relative of a U.S. citizen, when must I submit the immigration petition?

Thank you for your reply. I will ask the questions about I-485  later on, if any. Thank you.

Dear Help Desk:

Thank you very much for your advice given to me 2 months ago.

My father is a U.S. citizen, and he is filing for permanent residence for me. I am married with one son and one daughter. Should my father file separate petitions for my wife, son and daughter?

Thank you in advance for your time. I look forward to your reply and will highly appreciate your advice.

Best Regards,

Dear Help Desk:

Your web site is very helpful in regard to questions about immigration matters. I got my green card one month ago based on an Employment-based Immigration the 2nd Preference (EB-2).

Two months before my I-485 was approved, I went back to my home country and married my girlfriend. How can I bring her into the U.S.? and which package I need to order?

With Best Regards.

***** Email from Marcus on 4/2/2006

Hi,

I bought the Complete Do-It-Yourself  Package for I-130 from your web site. I hope to continue to get your help.

I'm a U.S. citizen, and filed an I-130 for my wife who is right now in her home country. However, the I-130 is pending. Can my spouse come to the U.S. to live while the visa petition is pending?

Thank you.

***** Email from Dong on 3/21/2006

Dear Sir:

I really appreciate your web site and your work. I am really impressed the way this site is designed to make the information related to immigration very clear and meaningful for alien interested to become a lawful permanent resident.

I need to know that to support the immigration relatives, what is the current amount of federal poverty line? and do the federal poverty guidelines change?

Also, I am going to apply by myself with the help of your package. But I know some USCIS centers are really slow and picky. Can I choose office or I have to go the office by location assigned.

Thanks.

Family Green Card Service:

Your web site about family immigration is very helpful, and I am interested in ordering "Complete Do-It-Yourself Package for U.S. Citizen's Parent". However, I am still not quite sure whether I have the qualification. I was wondering if you can give me some suggestions.

I am a U.S. citizen and have been out of work for one year, can I sponsor my mother in her green card application? If I have a co-sponsor for my mother’s application, will the USCIS question my ability to support my mother who can not support herself?

Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

***** Email from Ding on 2/19/2006

Dear Sir,

I appreciate your suggestion. Your advices are really professional and helpful for me to make sense to my green card application. Here I have one more question: what should I do if my baby is born abroad? and what documentation is required of a child born outside the U.S. of legal permanent residents?

Thanks again for your kindness!

***** Email from Xiang on 2/7/2006

Dear Family Green Card,

I have looked at your site and see that people are satisfied with your service judging from the testimonials. I am looking forward to you helping me with my questions:

1) What is necessary for me to enter the U.S. to marry a U.S. citizen?

2) Will my fiancee visa automatically change to a permanent resident card (green card)?

Thank you so much.

***** Email from Mishra on 1/19/2006

Dear Sir,

I used your Do-It-Yourself Package of Green Card Application for U.S. Permanent Resident's Spouse, and got I-140 approved from the VSC for my wife. Now, I want to know:

1. What documents are required for the immigrant visa interview?

2. What foreign service post handles approved immigrant visa petitions for persons who last resided in a country where there is no American consular representation?

Thank you.

***** Email from Terrell on 1/6/2006

I bought your Complete Do-It-Yourself Package for K3 visa, and found it is very powerful.

Now my wife will have a immigrant interview, and we need to make sure the questions like: how does an applicant obtain police certificates? How long is an immigrant visa valid? What if the applicant must delay arrival in the U.S.?

Thank you for your time and help. I will really appreciate it.

Best regards,
